Are you game?

Based on the book, Jumanji by Chris Van Allsburg

This movie is about a boy named Alan who finds a game. When his parents leave the house his friend comes over and together they play the game. Bats attack his friend Sarah and the boy gets sucked into the jungle until the dice rolls 5 or 8. Twenty five years later, a boy and a girl, Judy and Peter find the magical game. Peter rolls 5 and Alan comes back now a man. He, Peter, and Judy find Sarah at her house. Together the four play the adventure game together. They encounter animals like lions and monkeys and a mysterious poisonous flower and other dangers like a monsoon and a hunter, Van Pelt.

My favorite character is Alan Parrish because sometimes he is funny like when he shaves. And I think he is adventurous.

My favorite part is when Van Pelt shoots his gun but Alan rolls the dice and gets to Jumanji, the last square on the board before the bullet hits him.

We have always wondered if we would like this movie – there are a lot of really good actors in the cast and if both Dylan and Ethan liked the movie that’s good enough for us. We’ll find a DVD store in Key West, rent the movie and then let you know what we think.
